Hello friend,
How are you doing? I'm good, myself, having a slow but productive Monday so far. I hope you're having a good day, yourself.
Today is one of those days when, even though I've crossed several major items off the day's list as at 9:39am, I'm resolute about pacing myself and taking things easy.
Because I'm not a robot.
True, robots wear out too and sometimes breakdown. But they don't feel fatigue or pain, which I'm very likely to feel and still breakdown if I don't take things slow.
So I guess the point of today's newsletter is to remember that you're human.
Of course, it's not an excuse to slack off when you have the ability to do something. (You'll be amazed by how much humans can actually accomplish.) It's just a reminder that it's okay to have limits.
Can't remember everything you read? Don't be so hard on yourself. You're human. Couldn't cover the scheme you intended to study, as hard as you tried? It's okay.
While putting in the work and exerting yourself to reach your goals, it's important to take out time to pause and reset.
The fact that you're not a robot should help you plan your week realistically. Only line up tasks that are within your time and energy capabilities. That way, your week is less daunting and more likely to be successful.
I'm taking that advice myself.
I hope you're motivated this week to be human.
